Land leaves its imprints upon the people who care for it, manage it, live on it, love it and earn a living on it, just as surely as these people leave their mark on the land. Nowhere can this be seen more clearly than deep in the Texas Hill Country, and rolling terrain of the “Branded T Ranch”.
Located on a quiet piece of Texas heaven just outside Kendalia, Texas, one stumbles upon the “Branded T Ranch”. The ranch is currently under development to be used as a private exotic animal preserve and breeding facility for highly endangered and rare species. Utilizing native materials found on the ranch, reference to our German settlers has been preserved through the implementation of hand collected stone and reconstructed as dry stacked German walls throughout the ranch. Additionally, water wells are operative, brush management, food plots and a 3 acre lake is now in completed to support the breeding operations and abounding wildlife. The ranch is on a strict management program with only the finest breeding African hoof stock selected for propagation.
Early Dutch barns from the 1700’s are being dismantled in Upstate New York and shipped to the ranch to be returned to their former glory and modified into exquisite residences.

Foreman's House at the "Branded T Ranch"Kendalia, Texas 78027
Designed to be “Eclectically Texas” the Ranch Foreman’s house showcases 200-400 old timbers that have been reclaimed and mixed with materials such as dry stacked stones, tin, wood windows, hardi plank with vertical batts and handmade barn doors to represent the feeling of an old barn. Simplicity was a driving factor in the design/build process of this residence. From hand hewn timbers, to extensive use of stone outside and inside the home, the owner opted to create a “working ranchers” residence. One unique enough to represent all the good things in Texas from a large country kitchen, mud room for all the muddy boots and rain coats and ample open spaces with large vaulted ceilings to provide mass for taxidermy collections and various antiques displays.
The utilization of stained concrete floors, reclaimed timbers, wood flooring, barn wood ceiling treatments, wood casement windows, propane appliances, flash heating water systems and soybean insulation the residence is extremely energy efficient and green in nature.
